Lesotho Council of NGOs
will hold a five day planning workshop at Blue Mountain Inn in Berea
starting from 24th – 26th January, 2006.
The planning workshop is intended at looking at whether the
programmes existing at the moment within LCN are in line with LCN’s
strategic objectives so that the council can put together it’s plans
for 2007, it is also aimed at sharing best practices in implementing
LCN’s different programmes.
To effectively implement its programmes, LCN had six core programmes
namely;
1. Civil Society Support programme
2. Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Programme
3. Democracy and Human Rights Programme
4. Information Dissemination Programme
5. Financial Management Programme
6. Leadership and Governance Programme
Meanwhile, the New Board of LCN that was elected during its AGM in
December, 2006 would be oriented at the same workshop on the work of
LCN together with its programmes.
