NGO Governance Training

The Lesotho Council of
Non-governmental Organisations (LCN) has organized a five-day
training on NGO Governance for both Non-governmental Organisations
(NGOs) and Community Based Organisations (CBOs) at Bethel in
Mohale’s from 5th to 9th, March, 2007.
The objective of the training is to equip participants with basic
skills in NGO Governance. The training is part of the NGO Institute
Capacity Building Project supported by Bristol Meyers Squibb
Foundation with an overall goal to built NGOs and CBOs capacity in
organisational management to play and effective role in HIV/AIDS
response in Lesotho. The training targets NGOs and CBOs to enhance
their skills in issues of Governance.
The workshop has been organized by the Leadership and Governance
Programme of the LCN which seeks to strengthen, enhance and sustain
NGOs leadership and governance issues.
LCN’s primary mission is to stimulate, promote and build capacity
within Lesotho NGO's so that, they are stable, democratic,
transparent, skilled, empowered, sustainable and responsive to their
beneficiaries needs and those of the voiceless and marginalised.
