The Centre for Conflict
Resolution (CCR) and the Lesotho Council of NGOs (LCN) are hosting a
Consultative Skills workshop on Dialogue Processes and Local
Government in Lesotho at Blue Mountain Inn from September 6 – 7
2006.
The workshop forms the first stage of a long term intervention to
build the capacity of various civil society organizations to
intervene in local conflicts and provide a platform for constructive
dialogue between various actors at district level.
The workshop sessions will include presentations, group work, and
interactive excercises on the following topics;
• current civil society interventions on Local Government
• skills and tools in conducting dialogue processes
• conflict mapping and current conflict dynamics in Local Government
This workshop will seek to deepen participant’s skills in peace
building with a specific focus on dialogue processes in the context
of Lesotho Government dynamics. The workshop also feeds into LCN’s
mandate of building capacity of its member organizations.
