Human Rights Monitoring:  Workers’ Rights

The objectives of conducting the human rights monitoring in relation to workers are as follows:

  • To determine the terms and conditions of employment:  Whether they are in conformity with the National Labour Laws and ILO Conventions

  • To determine the safety and health of workers at workplaces

  • To determine whether there are any accidents and/or industrial diseases affecting workers and the compensation thereof.

  • Visits will also be made to determine conditions at work places

 The tool that will be used to obtain the above objectives will include the following:

  • Awareness campaigns

  • Interviews

  •  Inspection

  • Questionnaires
